I want to have my CD release party in YOUR HOME TOWN!

CD RELEASE PARTY | HELP ME GET TO 20,000 BY OCT. 5, AND I’M PARTYING WITH YOU!

Hey all! Pruett here!

Pruett wants to hold his CD Release Party in your home town!

I know I’ve been away from the inter-webs for far too long, and am sorry it’s taken this much time for me to return… Life happens, as we all know… But I’m back, damn it – and I want to celebrate with a party in your home town! I’ll need your help to make that happen, though. We need to move 20,000 units through a combination of CDs, Digital Album Downloads and related Merch (T-shirts, etc.) to get this show on the road… And there is absolutely NO ONE better to help with that effort than you!

GOAL PROGRESS: (I’ll update this every Saturday)

Visit Easy Fundraising Ideas

So, I’ll make you a deal!

Preorders for the album are now available at all major online retailers, and physical copies can be ordered from the Pruemedia store (links below).

If you help me reach the goal between now and October 5, 2018, the city with the largest impact / buzz is where I’ll be hosting my CD release party. Free admission, lots of cool prizes and giveaways, and, of course, a live performance. Will you help me out!?

HERE’S HOW:
  1. Pick up your copy of the album and any other merch  you like. 🙂
  2. Share these links and your enthusiasm with all of your friends and family (you can even share this article using the buttons at the very bottom of the page). You may have to sell it a little… But I have faith in you. If we can get enough people as excited about this project as I am (and I hope you are) then we can easily reach this goal together! Let’s do this thing! 🙂

Why Should a Professional Review Your Song?

It’s easy for us, as artists, to fall into the trap of confirmation bias. We get an idea that we really love, then we surround ourselves with people who also love that idea. That’s great, until you realize there are people who hate that idea…

Now, to be clear, you will NEVER please everyone, and it’s our philosophy that you should ALWAYS be who you are – not who you think people want you to be.

However, it’s still a good idea to open yourself up to a critical eye (or ear) early on in the creative process to help overcome the feedback barriers that our circles of confirmation bias present.

That’s why Pruemedia offers a Song Review package. We know that having an unbiased industry reviewer on your team is the best way to achieve market success with your music.

Our process is simple, we listen to your song 6 times.

  1. The first listen is only for feel. Does it get us moving? Does it make us smile? Does it raise our eyebrows?
  2. The second listen is for structure. Do the parts work together? Does the song transition well? Are there any gaps in the listening experience?
  3. The third listen is for lyrical content and vocal quality. Does the song mean something to a particular audience? Does it make sense? Does it tell a story? Does it make us think?
  4. The fourth listen is for instrumental content and quality. Are the parts in-tune and alignment with each other? Do they flow and relay a tone and emotion that matches the lyrics?
  5. The fifth listen is for production and mix value. We understand that songs will come to us incomplete and in “scratch” or “idea” mode, so we’re careful in our considerations on this one, but we’re listening for things that may present problems down the road for production, mixing and mastering stages.
  6. The last listen is for artistic improvement recommendations. This is where we throw the box out the window and think about things that may bring the song to life more – then provide a few ideas for you to consider.

At each stage, we’ll capture our thoughts in a standard report for you – including our proprietary “hit rating” score, and send that back as a final product. Please keep in mind, this is YOUR art. Our service is designed to offer input, not to force change. If you disagree with, or prefer to ignore the input we provide that’s completely up to you. We won’t take it personally. 🙂

How to Upload Your Music Files to Pruemedia

If you’re ready to make Pruemedia part of your audio journey by purchasing one of our Mixing, Mastering or Audio review packages from the store, we’ve made getting your files to us an easy, integrated step in the shopping experience.

Where and How to Upload Your Files:

Following the completion of your order, you will see a purchase summary that includes a file upload stage. Simply drag the file(s) relevant to the package you purchased onto that stage and let our uploader handle the rest!

Upload Stage

If for some reason you miss this step and close the window, don’t fret. You’ll also receive a link to the uploader in your email order confirmation. We will then confirm receipt of your files and begin work on your project. Please allow 3-5 days for all audio projects.

Preferred File Settings:

Please ensure you’ve rendered each of your tracks from the same start point (and preferably with the same end point).

  • File Format: WAV
  • Sample Rate: 44.1Hz
  • Bit Depth: 24bit PCM
  • Naming Convention: [tempo]-[songName]-[trackName]

Pro Tools: How to Bounce Multiple Tracks

Ready to bounce your tracks out for mix and master?

This is how to export multiple tracks in Pro Tools:

  1. Create a new folder where you will save all of your tracks. (You’ll need this when its time to grab everything for upload).
  2. In your Pro Tools project, select all the tracks you want to export (use control + A on a PC or command + A on a Mac to select all).
  3. From the “Edit” menu, select “Consolidate Clip”
  4. Type “ctrl+shift+K” on a PC or “apple+shift+K” on a Mac to open the Render settings dialog.
  5. Use the following settings:
    File Type: WAV
    Format: Interleaved
    Bit Depth: 24bit PCM
    Sample Rate: 44.1Hz
Destination Directory: Choose the folder you set up in step 1.
Resolve Duplicate File Names By: Auto Renaming
  6. Click the “Export” button – and your files are on their way to your folder!

Reaper: How to Render Multiple Tracks

Ready to export your tracks from Reaper for mix and master?

This is how to export multiple tracks in Reaper:

  1. Create a new folder where you will save all of your tracks. (You’ll need this when its time to grab everything for upload).
  2. In your Reaper project, select all the tracks you want to export (use control click on a PC or command + click on a Mac to select multiple channels).
  3. Set the time selection to the desired start and end you wish to export.
  4. From the “File” menu, select “Render”
  5. In the “Render” field, select “Stems (Selected Tracks)”
  6. In the “Render Bounds” section, select “Time Selection”
  7. In the “Output” section “Directory” field,  “Browse for directory” to the folder you created in step 1.
  8. In the “File Name” field, enter the BPM for your song followed by a hyphen (for example, “120bpm-” or “85bpm-“) then enter the song name without spaces and followed by another hyphen (for example, “MovingOnUp-“), and finally type: “$track” to preserve track names in each of your files. So a finished file name would look like this: 120bpm-SongName-$track
  9. For “Options”, use the following settings:
    Sample Rate: 44.100Hz
Channels: “Stereo” – “Full-speed Offline” option
Tracks with only mono media to mono files” option: ON
    File format: WAV
    Bit Depth: 24bit PCM
  10. If you’ve named more than one track in your project with the same name (not a great practice…), turn on the “Silently increment file names to avoid overwriting” option.
  11. Click the “Render” button – and your files are on their way to your folder!
